About me

Hi! My name is Jenny and I'm the artist behind all you see here. Welcome! I have always loved art and for me, being creative is like breathing; I need to create in order to function.  I have a background in Molecular Biology and my science-side still comes out in my art.  In the last few years, I have been drawn to the art and science of natural dyes but I love to constantly dabble and experiment.  I love playing with different techniques and materials including crochet, paper-making, jewelry-making, and painting.  I'm also a big thrifter and love to figure out how to re-use materials in a creative way.

One of my passions is also sharing my craft with others.  I have enjoyed expanding the teaching side of my art practice over the last few years and love to help "non-artists" discover that anyone can make art.

I'm currently living in KS after many years living elsewhere in the US.  I grew up in KC so it's been good to be home.  I have three awesome kids that keep me pretty busy outside my arts and crafts.
